American Hockey League team the Ontario Reign

Samsung TV Plus, the free FAST platform operated by the leading smart-TV maker, is breaking ground in the sports arena as part of a broader programming push. At a standing-room-only NewFronts presentation to advertisers in New York on Tuesday, the company said it would provide live streams of the games of American Hockey League team the Ontario Reign of the NHL’s LA Kings.

Other new sports offerings include a Major League Baseball channel featuring game replays, recaps and other exclusives; and new channels dedicated to the PGA Tour channel, MMA’s ONEChampionship and Formula 1.  Michael Scott, VP, Head of Ad Sales and Operations at Samsung Ads, called Samsung TV Plus “America’s first choice for television.

Michael Scott, VP, Head of Ad Sales and Operations at Samsung Ads, called Samsung TV Plus “America’s first choice for television.” The platform, he added, is “at the forefront of streaming, removing barriers to both FAST and gaming … and making them accessible to all.” In addition to sports, the company announced news, family and music programming. It unveiled an exclusive partnership with Warner Music, which will augment the nearly 500 existing national and local channels already on Samsung TV Plus, which is at the high end of the range offered by any provider.

The tech company also made a non-TV announcement at the event, saying that ads would start being integrated onto Samsung News, a mobile offering that comes pre-loaded on Galaxy devices. Gaming is also an area of focus as Samsung looks to engage consumers without the usual trappings of a video game system. The company will roll out two games later this year, neither of which requires a controller. Rivals Arena is described as a “cinematic card game,” with advertiser QR codes integrated into the action. The Six is a trivia game built into a Samsung connected device.

The Wallabies will play the All Blacks twice in two weeks at Eden Park in Auckland to open the Bledisloe Cup and Rugby Championship series. The first match will be played this Saturday, August 7, with the second Test scheduled for the same ground on Saturday, August 14.  The third trans-Tasman encounter will be played in Perth at Optus Stadium on Saturday, August 28. Initially, the schedule had the sides playing all blacks pumas rugby game on tv free  in Perth on August 21, before the third encounter in Wellington on August 28. Those plans were thrown into turmoil following COVID-19 outbreaks in Australia forcing the New Zealand government to pause its trans-Tasman travel bubble. The two South Africa versus Argentina matches remain as per schedule with both to be played in Port Elizabeth on August 14 and 21 respectively.

The New Zealand government's travel bubble closure means the All Blacks' scheduled Rugby Championship matches against Argentina and South Africa in New Zealand will now be played in Australia. Dates and venues for both of thoe matches will be announced at a later date. "Once again, the pandemic threw us a challenge in terms live stream all blacks pumas rugby game  of our match schedule but we are delighted that a solution has been found for the two Australia versus New Zealand matches despite the restrictions on travel between the two countries," SANZAAR CEO Brendan Morris said this week. "The All Blacks and Wallabies will play back-to-back weekends in Auckland with the second match on Saturday 14 August being the opening round of The Rugby Championship. "New Zealand will now travel to Australia for the return match in Perth on Saturday 28 August. "We realise this is a week later than originally scheduled for Perth rugby fans with tickets but the pandemic and changing government health and travel regulations now in place have made our task difficult. "SANZAAR also understands the disappointment for Wellington rugby fans who will now miss out on New Zealand versus Australia and New Zealand versus Argentina matches due to the rescheduling." "We now turn our attention to the remaining eight scheduled matches. We continue to monitor the pandemic and government and health authority regulations, and are currently working through several options for these matches if any changes are required, including the New Zealand versus Argentina matches."  The Wallabies have announced Marika Koroibete, Pone Fa’amausili and Isi Naisarani will not be considered for selection for this Bledisloe match. The Rebels trio have been reprimanded after they breached team protocols following a team dinner. They were found to have been drinking alcohol well beyond an agreed time prior to a training-free day. "We are building a culture of working hard for each other and being accountable for our actions," Wallabies coach Dave Rennie said in a statement. “On this occasion, these three players haven’t lived up to that and we’ve taken a very clear stance. “Ultimately these three men have paid a big price for their decisions but that’s the standard we expect of each other.” Wellington will miss out on hosting a rugby test this year - costing the local economy millions of dollars. NZ Rugby confirmed Tuesday that the All Blacks will play the Wallabies in back-to-back tests in Auckland on August 7 and August 14 – Wellington was originally scheduled to host a Bledisloe Cup test on August 28 – and will also play their two Rugby Championship tests against Argentina in Australia. This is not only bad news for All Blacks fans in Wellington. It also means the Wallabies, who have not won in Auckland since 1986, now face a daunting task to reclaim the trophy in the three-test series. While Auckland’s Eden Park was always scheduled to host a test this weekend, the other Bledisloe Cup game to played in New Zealand was inked in for Wellington.

All Blacks v Pumas Rugby Game

South Africa came straight off a series win over the British and Irish Lions to beat Argentina 32-12 in the opening round of the southern hemisphere's Rugby Championship on Saturday. The Springboks scored three tries, through starting scrumhalf Cobus Reinach, wing Aphelele Fassi and replacement scrumhalf Jaden Hendrikse, to neutralize an Argentina team that relied on the boot of Nicolas Sanchez for all its points.  Argentina vs New Zealand rugby game on tv Flyhalf Elton Jantjies kicked 17 points for the Springboks, who made 10 changes to the starting lineup that clinched the series against the Lions a week ago. Captain Siya Kolisi, lock pairing Eben Etzebeth and Lood de Jager, No. 8 Jasper Wiese and Reinach were the only ones retained. South Africa fielded an entirely new backline outside Reinach. Reinach set the Springboks on their way with a try off turnover ball in the 13th minute. He scooped up a loose Argentina pass deep inside South African territory and raced away to score in the left corner, just evading an attempted cover tackle from Rodrigo Bruni.

South Africa's need to rotate players for its fourth test in as many weeks gave an opportunity to Fassi, who scored off a cross-kick from Jantjies to give the home team its second try at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium. Fassi hauled the low kick in with his left hand as it drifted toward the touchline, juggled briefly, and regathered to speed clear and put South Africa 15-3 up after 20 minutes. The Boks were accurate enough to lead 21-9 at halftime despite conceding the territory and possession stats to the Pumas. Jantjies kicked two more penalties in the second half before Hendrikse celebrated his debut with a try with two minutes to go. He squeezed the ball down with a full-length dive to the corner to give the Springboks a bonus point. That meant a successful outing for South Africa, which dug deep into its reserve players ahead of a pumas nz rugby live on tv  second test against the Argentinians and a fifth test in five weeks next weekend. New Zealand leads the early Rugby Championship standings after beating Australia 57-22 earlier Saturday. South Africa won the southern hemisphere's top rugby tournament in 2019 on the way to a World Cup triumph, but withdrew last season and didn't defend its title because of the coronavirus pandemic. The Springboks' two Rugby Championship Tests against the All Blacks look set to be played on neutral ground following confirmation that New Zealand's borders will remain closed for international travel until early 2022. New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern confirmed on Thursday that her government will only reopen the country to the rest of the world in January. The Boks were scheduled to play the All Blacks at Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium on 25 September and Auckland's Eden Park on 2 October. That now appears unlikely following Ardern's announcement, and while there's been no official confirmation from tournament organisers, the match could likely be moved to Australia. Wherever the Boks end up playing the All Blacks, the next encounter will be the 100th Test between the nations. The first Test was played at Carisbrook in Dunedin on 13 August 1921, with the All Blacks winning 13-5. The Kiwis lead the head-to-head count with 59 wins to South Africa's 36, with four draws. The Boks open their Rugby Championship campaign with two Tests against Argentina in Gqeberha (14 and 21 August), before heading to Australia for Tests against the Wallabies in Sydney (12 September) and Brisbane (18 September).

The historic centenary test between the All Blacks and World champions South Africa is set to be switched to Perth due to the continuing impact of COVID-19 on planning for the Rugby Championship. The All Blacks are scheduled to play the Springboks twice in the Rugby Championship, with the first meeting in Dunedin on September 25 marking ABs v Pumas rugby 2021  the 100th Test dating back to 1921 when one of the fiercest rivalries in the sport started. The second scheduled test with South Africa is set for Auckland’s Eden Park. New Zealand’s strict Covid-19 border controls have already led to two championship Tests against Argentina being moved to Australia and NZR chief Mark Robinson said the South Africa matches could also be shifted. “We’d dearly love for those two games against the Springboks to be played here in New Zealand,” he told Sky Sports NZ.

We all recognise the significance of those games and the huge amount of importance they have on the legacy of the rivalry. We’re doing everything possible to make that happen and we haven’t given up all hope, but the reality is we’re living in challenging times.” The All Blacks-Argentina matches will be played on September 11 and 18, and the Springboks games on September 25 and October 2. Robinson said Perth was the preferred venue if the All Blacks had to play all four of their remaining Championship matches in Australia. The plan would then be for the All Blacks to launch their Autumn tour from Australia starting with a trip to All Blacks v Pumas Rugby Game  Washington to play the United States, followed by a European tour including Tests against France, Italy and Ireland. The first match played between New Zealand and South Africa was staged at Carisbrook in August 1921 with the All Blacks winning 13-5. The most recent meeting came in the pool stages of the 2019 Rugby World Cup with the eventual champion Springboks downed 23-13. Rugby Championship live stream: How to watch every match live The Rugby Championship is back to a full complement this year as South Africa return to the fold along with Argentina, Australia and New Zealand. The world champions didn’t take part last year due to the pandemic, leaving the other three sides to play a Tri-Nations. The All Blacks lifted the trophy, but they were stunned by Argentina, who also drew twice with the Wallabies. New Zealand warmed up for this year’s tournament with a 33-25 victory over Australia in the first Bledisloe Cup fixture. The two sides meet again at Eden Park this Saturday and that clash is part of the Rugby Championship. Here is how the All Blacks and Wallabies line up this weekend…

South Africa’s World Cup winning squad. Source: AFP South African rugby officials could announce this week whether the world champions Springboks will compete in the 2020 Rugby Championship in Australia. Director of rugby and 2019 World Cup-winning coach Rassie Erasmus has told reporters he expects a decision by October 10 (Saturday). Opinions are divided as to whether an inevitably underprepared squad should play, partly to boost the coffers of a national body sorely hit by the coronavirus pandemic. “We are a long way off in terms of fitness and match readiness from where we were at the World Cup,” Springboks captain Siya Kolisi admitted this week. But SA Rugby desperately need cash and reportedly could pocket 300 million rand ($A25m) by playing New Zealand, Australia and Argentina in a six-round championship. “We have to take rugby considerations into account and also weigh up the potential commercial losses if we do not play,” said national body chief executive Jurie Roux. Here, AFP Sport outlines some of the reasons for and against South Africa boarding a jet to Sydney for the November 7-December 12 tournament. Reasons to play — SA Rugby had to slash 1.2 billion rand off the 2020 budget due to coronavirus and all. Six home Tests scheduled for this year have been cancelled, including the annual money-spinner against major drawcards New Zealand. Australian officials have said that the Rugby Championship costs and profits will be shared. Squads of up to 46 players can be chosen, allowing Erasmus and new coach Jacques Nienaber a chance to test the depth of South African rugby. A national trial last Saturday revealed Sharks’ scrum-half Sanele Nohamba as a possible future challenger to first-choice Faf de Klerk and understudies Herschel Jantjies and Cobus Reinach. — Dare the Springboks go into a three-Test series against the star-stacked British and Irish Lions in mid-2021 without having played since beating England in the World Cup final in Japan last November? That is the stark reality if they opt out of two Tests each against the All Blacks, Wallabies and Pumas. Reasons to stay Erasmus and Nienaber believe players need at least 500 minutes game-time before they can play Test rugby. Home-based Springboks cannot meet this target given their recent return to action and can play a maximum of two more matches before boarding an Australia-bound jet. A scrappy national trial last Saturday exposed an understandable lack of sharpness. — There are fears that the Springboks could be humiliated by New Zealand and Australia with memories of conceding 57 points in successive matches against the All Blacks in 2016 and 2017 still fresh. New Zealanders resumed playing in June and Australians in July, giving them a massive advantage over the world champions. —Former Springboks skipper Wynand Claassen believes strong domestic competitions will be adequate.

preparation for the local Springboks before the hugely anticipated eight-match Lions tour, with three times as many ticket applications from South Africans for the Tests in Soweto, Cape Town and Johannesburg as could be accommodated.
